M.Sc. and Ph.D. positions are available to contribute to a research project titled “Interactions between Foodborne Pathogens and the Microbiome”. The laboratory is located in McGill University (MacDonald Campus), Faculty of Agricultural Sciences.

Applicants chosen for the position will be guaranteed stipend funding, but should be competitive for external funding opportunities and will be expected to apply for internal and external funding. Stipend value will be dependent on experience.

Applicants should have at minimum a B.Sc. degree in microbiology or bioinformatics, and experience in basic microbiology, environmental microbiology/microbial ecology, and molecular biology. Experience in bacterial isolation, and DNA/RNA extraction techniques are essential. Bioinformatics experience is also preferred.
