The successful applicant will lead a project aimed at determining the molecular function of specific set of bacterial pathogenic factors secreted by bacterial pathogens inside the host cell in order to modulate ubiquitination.

Applicants must have a PhD in microbiology, molecular biology or biochemistry with strong publication record and demonstrate experience in basic molecular and cell biology or protein biochemistry methodology. Strong preference will be given to those who have experience working with infection models, and conducting immunological (e.g. ELISA, flow cytometry) and infection assays. The applicant should also have excellent communication skills and engage in team-oriented as well as independent work. Practical experience in animal model would be beneficial but not necessary.
