Graduate Student Position (M.Sc.) Available

Start Date: January 2018

Project Description: We are seeking to recruit a graduate student to expand our development of a porcine model of human tuberculosis infection and aerosol transmission. This animal model will be used to address questions in TB aerobiology, pulmonary immunology and pathogenesis, and provide a strategic platform to evaluate novel TB drugs and vaccines that we are also developing in our laboratory.

Application Instructions

Candidate Profile: Have or expecting to obtain a B.Sc. degree either in Animal Science, Immunology, Microbiology or related sciences. A working knowledge of immunological techniques would be an asset. The candidate must be highly motivated and proficient in English (spoken and written). The project will involve working under high-security biosafety level-3 conditions. As such, the candidate must undergo and pass a criminal and security background check.
