Job Description

Deadline for application: February 28, 2013

The hemocyte cell lines of the forest tent caterpillar, Malacosoma disstria, differ in their responses to selected bacterial surface antigens. As part of a host-pathogen study I would like to receive applications from MSc applicants interested in determining the signaling pathways by which these differences occur. Emphasis will be placed on small GTPases.Background in cell biology or insect physiology useful. Stipend depends upon experience with preference will be given to Canadian citizens and landed immigrants. Foreign students must supply half the fees required of foreign students. Possible entrance funds are available for successful applicants. The successful candidate will be expected to start as soon as accepted into McGill University.
