The local organizing committee (LOC) cordially invites you to the University of Regina for the 65th Annual Conference of the Canadian Society of Microbiologists. The LOC has identified symposium topics that will be of interest to CSM members within the three central themes of the CSM. The program is still in the process of being finalized; however, the LOC has confirmed the keynote speaker, and the keynote speakers for each symposium. The LOC has also reserved slots within each symposium for junior scientists to give oral presentations. These speakers will be selected from the submitted abstracts following registration.
In addition to the scientific symposia, a pre-conference workshop on undergraduate microbiology education will be held. Educators interested in presenting interactive sessions on teaching methods (in class or lab), tools, or microbiology challenges/issues can submit proposal abstracts. Furthermore, a technical workshop will be offered on Environmental Proteomics, hosted by the Institute of Environmental Change and Society . Enrolment in both workshops will be limited and more information will be made available on the Conference Website as the workshops develop.
The LOC anticipates an exciting and invigorating microbiology conference and we look forward to welcoming you to the University of Regina in June 2015.
