2013 CSM Conference
63rd Annual Conference of the Canadian Society of Microbiologists
We would like to invite you to the 63rd Annual Conference of the Canadian Society of Microbiologists (CSM) June 17th – 20th, 2013, Carleton University, Ottawa, Ontario.
The Local Organizing Committee has put together an outstanding scientific program that highlights leading edge research in Canada and internationally. The Ottawa 2013 CSM Conference will have 4 themes: Genomics, Systems Biology, and Evolution of microorganisms; Host-Pathogen Interaction; Applied and Environmental Microbiology; and Molecular Genetics. We encourage the participation of graduate students, post-docs, PIs and all interested scientists at the conference. Beside the numerous symposia, the program will also include three award lectures, student symposia competition, and post doc symposium which will be organized from submitted abstracts and nominations. There will be poster sessions, student poster competitions and awards handed at the president’s banquet. Commercial exhibits will be an integral part of our conference. The conference will be held at the newly built River building which has a massive terrace overlooking the Rideau River. The CSM 2013 Ottawa conference will be full of various social events and networking opportunities.
The CSM 2013 Annual Conference will follow the Environmental Dimension of Antibiotic Resistance Satellite Symposia which will commence on Sunday, June 16 and will wrap up before the CSM's Opening Ceremonies. Please note that the EDAR Satellite Symposium is offering a discounted registration fees for those who will be registering for the CSM 63rd Annual Conference and the EDAR Satellite Symposium.
We look forward to joining you for a meeting filled with opportunities for rich scientific exchange, and in addition, hope that you have the opportunity to experience Canada’s beautiful capital, get to visit the downtown area, the historic Parliament Hill, various museums and restaurants in Ottawa and Gatineau or go white water rafting, stroll or bike along the Rideau Canal.
